How it works
- USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) is a Global System for Mobile (GSM) communication technology that is used to send text between a mobile phone and an application program in the network.
- The MTN Eswatini’s USSD service can be used to allow MTN Eswatini’s mobile users to access enterprise services (applications) like banking services, service inquiry, etc., from any type of phone (feature and smartphones), wherein the users interact with the content provider (CP) enterprise in real-time.
- The CP is allocated a unique 3 or 4-digit USSD code e.g. *001# which the users would dial to access that particular CP’s content or service.
