TERMS AND CONDITIONS that will apply to MTN SMS Bundles

1. Introduction

MTN SMS bundles is a service available to all prepaid customers. The service is composed of different SMS packages that are valid for 30 days.

2. Offer Period

2.1 The service was launched in 2017 as a permanent service and will remain as such until MTN in its sole and absolute discretion elects to discontinue the service.

2.2 Notwithstanding the Offer Period, MTN may, in its sole and absolute discretion, amend the duration of the Offer Period to a shorter or longer period, or withdraw the Offer in its entirety, with notice to you. Stay tuned here regularly for notices, updates and/or changes to services.

3. Qualifying Customers

3.1 The offer is available to all MTN prepaid customers.

4. What does the offer entail?

4.1 Customers must dial *686*2# to choose the SMS bundle they want to purchase from a list of other SMS bundles expiring in 30 days.

4.2 Upon purchase, customers shall receive a message. Also, a notification shall be received on depletion of SMS bundles.

4.3 Customers shall receive a notification when the bundle expires.

4.4 SMS bundles can only be used for sending MTN to MTN only, sending off-net will charge on the Main account.

4.5 The offer is valid for a month.

5. Terms & Conditions

5.1 The MTN SMS bundles were available from the …;

5.2 Only MTN prepaid subscribers will have access to the service

5.3 The SMS bundles will be available as a permanent proposition

5.4 The SMS Bundles are valid for 30 days upon activation;

5.5 Bundle validity is not extendable

5.6 Service will only be available to send to on-net subscribers. Sending to off-net subscribers will charge from main account;

5.7 Subscribers must dial *686*2# and select the purchase SMS bundle option to subscribe to the service or via MyMTN SmartApp;

5.8 Customers dial *686*5# to check their bundle balance;

5.9 Customers are able to buy bundles for another subscriber;

5.10 Customer must receive a SMS notification once the desired bundle is activated;

5.11 Customers must receive a notification when they have depleted their bundles;

5.12 Customers must receive a notification when their bundle expires;

5.13 Each bundle shall be depleted on per SMS billing;

5.14 Unused SMS will lapse and will not be carried over to the following month;

5.15 The SMS bundles are non–transferable;

5.16 Bonus airtime cannot be used to purchase SMS bundles;

5.17 All prices are subject to change, subscribers shall be notified;

5.18 All charges are deducted from the subscriber’s main balance;

5.19 Service will not be available for international destinations and roaming subscribers.

6. Expiry Rules

6.1 The bundles are valid for 30 days.

6.2 The bundles cannot be carried over beyond 30 days

7. Depletion Rules

7.1 The bundles shall only be used for local on-

10.2 MTN reserves the right at any modify, suspend or discontinue the Offer (on notice to you), with notice, without liability to you or any third party. MTN will under no circumstance be liable to you for any error, delay, failure or non-availability of the Offer, and you indemnify MTN against any damage or loss you may sustain as a result of possession and/or use of the SIM card, MTN network services, or any error, delay, failure or non-availability of the Offer.
