Our People Way
Please join me in sharing Our People Way at Swazi MTN. This is about who we are, how we engage our people and what they and any other aspiring MTNer can expect from us.
One thing I am confident about is that our people are at the center of our business performance, they go the extra mile not because they have to but they want to see our business succeed. We value and recognize that it is people that build our business.
I now share with you the various ways we engage our people:
We have a talent management approach that ensures we attract individuals who demonstrate our values and behaviors,
Internally we drive
We have a
high performance culture which is tracked at company level and shared with the entire team in quarterly forums, weekly sessions at departmental level and robust one-on-one discussions at the individual-manager level.
This requires a dedicated and people centric leadership. This is at the heart of what we do, we have
bold and inspiring people leaders who are held accountable on how we lead our people.
To demonstrate appreciation for the efforts our people demonstrate as individuals and as team, we have several
recognition platforms using an online platform called MTN Shine and sharing recognition across the below from the leadership team.
Getting out of the office, we drive several initiative that ensure our business is a
great place to work,
I always say if it is important it has to be measured.How we engage and develop our people is assessed though various engagement surveys. We are currently no 1 amongst the MTN group of operations on a renowned survey called “Group Culture Audit, we measure how we live our vital behaviors and most importantly we have a Gold accreditation from an international people standard, the Investor in People.
