South Africa, Botswana, Rwanda, Zambia, Uganda.
How Do I Access MTN Seamless Roaming
(Pay As You Go Roaming Service)
To get started customers are required
to activate the service before they
leave Swaziland. For service activation,
customers must dial *170*1# and the
service will be activated. Upon returning
home, subscribers who desire to suspend
the service must dial *170*2# for the
service to be deactivated. Subscribers
who reside within the border areas
are encouraged to have the service
suspended or alternatively have the
mobile phone set to manual search of
the network. This will prevent customers
from unintentionally having to roam
when the can use the MTN Swaziland at
preferable rates.
How do I Load Airtime?
• The Customer can buy any available
airtime voucher available in the
visited Country at any MTN Retail
Outlet.
• The Customer Scratches the voucher
and gets the recharge number;
• The customer will dial: *222*
Voucher Pin #
• The Voucher will be recharged and
display the value of the voucher in
the local currency;
• Additional Bonuses that may be
advertised on the recharge voucher
will not apply: this means that the
customer’s roaming airtime account
will only be topped up to the face
value of the voucher.
• On continuing to travel outside of
the visited country, the remaining
balance within the roamers account
can further be utilized by other
roaming operations.
• Once airtime has been purchased,
the unused airtime balance can be
used to make calls from any location
(i.e. while roaming on any foreign
network, as well as while making
calls on the local network).
