This service enables users to send and receive email messages as Mobile Originated (MO) and Mobile Terminated (MT) short messages to and from a mobile handset by means of the Short Message Service (SMS). It is made up of the following two processes:

• Email to SMS: sending email messages
• SMS to email: receiving email messages
